Red Eye with Pain

Red eyes (or red eye) is a condition in which the white surface of the eye becomes red or bloodshot associated with pain.

Red eye can occur in one or both eyes, and it can be associated with several symptoms, including:

• Irritation
• Burning
• Watery eye (tearing)
• Sensitivity to light
• Blurry vision

This type of red eye may be due to ocular trauma or injury, and inflammatory eye disease. Exposure to toxic chemicals such as pesticides and acids used in manufacturing processes and systemic health such as spondylitis, arthritis and tuberculosis also can cause this type of red eyes.

Above symptoms may require immediate attention.

Treatment Plan:
• Use of dark goggles.
• Do not splash water in to your eyes (while taking bath and washing face).

Best and safest way to consult with your eye doctor to determine the cause of your red eyes and receive the most effective treatment.
